Underwater Mixed Media Canvas

Hi Blogland.

Today I want to share with you a mini canvas I have just finished after being inspired by the fabulous team over at That's Crafty.
I am ashamed to say that I have ONLY just discovered their challenge blog - where have I been?!? Especially as I am a huge fan of their store, of which I finally got to visit their bricks and mortar store and OMG it's heavenly, so need to go again..... and again......

The current challenge theme is The Sea.

I am really pleased with the way this has turned out, and the image, I think, is perfect for the theme.

CWWC challenge #119 - Clean and Simple

Hello Bloggers

I am EXTREMELY excited (and proud) to tell you all about our latest challenge over at Crafting When We Can.
The theme is Clean and Simple.

This month we are being sponsored by my beautiful and talented daughter DevilCait.

Let me tell you a little bit about her, she is 17 years old and is currently studying level 2 Beauty in college and working towards level 3 Media Make Up, but her passion is and always has been Art. She gained an A* GCSE grade in Art and had maintained an A grade throughout all her years at secondary school.
To say I am proud would be an understatement, and I have been trying to convince her to start drawing some digital images of some of her work and she finally caved and done so.
Most of her art centers around the female form and portraits, though she has a fascination with fantasy art she's still learning her craft and is always practicing.
I sincerely hope people will help encourage her progress, both in herself as an artist and in turn gain her confidence and sense of self worth.

Here is my card using the beautiful Skye
I have to admit this is one of my personal favourites, aren't the little birds cute?!?
One of the things I love the most about her images is it's actually helping me practice colouring hair and skin tones, so I would recommend these digi's for exactly that purpose but also they make perfect Teen/young lady cards.

Please leave me some love below and I will happily pass on any messages for her directly.

Amelia's Sketchbook

Hi everyone.

I know it's been a while since I ''wrote'' an actual full blog post, been getting lazy in that - sorry.

After many weeks just pottering around with my stash and not really getting anything done, I finally managed not one but TWO projects today - though one is undecided if finished, so not sharing that just yet.

So what did I make that is finished?
An altered sketchbook!
Ok yes I know it is not something original for me, but they are something I love doing, they make perfect gifts.
This one has been done for my youngest daughter Amelia.

Recipe
Texture Paste
Stencils
Black Gesso
Sketch book

And there you have it, I love the effect you get from the polishes, they're like a moose and blend together so well (though might want to wait til the gesso is completely dry first lol)

I am entering this into the following challenges
The Dark Attic Challenges - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes/Die Cuts (the letters I used are die cuts do they count? lol)

Thank you for taking the time to pop by my blog, please let me know by becoming a follower and leaving a little comment below.
